Description
In a strategic step to enhance women’s economic empowerment, the Regional Financial Literacy and Education Center (RFLEC) launched a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Digital Financial Services in Amman from 7 to 11 September 2025.
Over the course of five intensive days, the training brought together 19 financial literacy ambassadors from diverse backgrounds, marking the official kick-off of the Digital Financial Literacy for Women (DFL4W) project in Jordan, alongside its implementation in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
The project in Jordan is funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), supported by The Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), and implemented with the support of NMB by the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) through RFLEC. Its goal is to equip women with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate digital financial channels, make informed financial decisions, and improve their financial well-being.
Through interactive sessions, practical case studies, and capacity-building exercises, the ambassadors gained a deep understanding of digital financial channels and regulations. They will transfer this knowledge within their communities, acting as multipliers to bridge gaps in financial inclusion.
This initiative reflects RFLEC’s commitment to reducing the gender gap in access to financial services, emphasizing that financial literacy is not only about numbers but also about access, agency, and sustainable empowerment.
